In DWI and other cases, the video footage from the police cruiser’s dash camera can play a critical role in defending a client.

Previously, not all police departments would equip cruisers with cameras.  Thankfully, the Governor has signed a bill into law requiring all new municipal police vehicles to be equipped with video cameras.

When a video of the traffic stop exists, it becomes part of the discovery that your attorney is entitled to review.

Dashcam footage can be a useful piece of evidence for your attorney.  It helps your attorney evaluate the police’s investigation of the offense as well as the defendant’s performance on field sobriety tests.
